Twinsburg Getting Federal Grant from the Office of Sustainable Communities

Twinsburg is one of nine communities selected to receive free technical assistance in 2013.

Twinsburg will soon train the community on the benefits of having and updating its walkable areas thanks to a federal grant. 

The city was one of nine communities selected to receive a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency, according to Project Public Spaces

Project for Public Spaces and our partners at Livability Solutions will offer free technical assistance in 2013 to Twinsburg, thanks to a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Sustainable Communities under their Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities Program.

Twinsburg will work with the Congress for the New Urbanism to train the community on the benefits of walkable urban thoroughfares. The training is said to help create a town center that improves connections and creates a safe healthy downtown destination.
