Twinsburg Leases Nine New Police Cruisers

Twinsburg's new Ford Explorer-style cruisers will replace the current fleet of Dodge Chargers.

The Twinsburg Police Department will sport some new wheels very soon, with a new look too.

The city council approved in January the lease of nine new Ford police vehicles based on the Ford Explorer. The cost of the new cars is $333,705 total for three years.

Police Chief Chris Noga said the department plans to phase out its 10 Dodge Charges currently in use. Noga said those cars are suffering some "wear and tear."
