Twinsburg School Board To Discuss Kasich's Funding Proposal At Work Session

Superintendent Kathryn Powers will provide the school board with new information about Gov. John Kasich's school funding proposal, which would give a big boost to Twinsburg Schools.

Twinsburg Superintendent Kathryn Powers has new information about Gov. John Kasich's education funding plan, and she plans to share that with the school board during a work session Wednesday.

If Gov. John Kasich's education funding proposal is approved as is, Twinsburg City Schools would recieve a giant boost in funding.

Local school officials said they were skeptical of the plan when first announced. Under the proposal, the district is expected to get nearly $5.5 million in 2014 from state funding, according to preliminary numbers from the Ohio Department of Education.
