Mike Hasinsky struck a chord with hundreds of student-musicians since he began directing in 1977.
Hasinsky, who starte working at the Twinsburg High School band director in 1979, has retired.
"I was always very pleased at Twinsburg and I always thought they had a great school system and one that a parent would be very pleased, happy and proud to have their kids go to," Hasinsky said in a Twinsburg Bulletin article.
The retirement marks an end to Hasinsky's teaching career at Twinsburg, but not altogether — he plans on teaching lessons to elementary students at the Orange School System.
"I'm looking forward to it, and at the same time it's bittersweet," Hasinsky said in the Twinsburg Bulletin story.
