Area Students Named to College Deans' Lists

We have even more graduates and area students making some noise on the college scene.

The following area students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Mount Union:

Jasmine Bentley is a junior exercise science major.

Cassie Durdel is a senior psychology major.

Julie Hyde is a senior communication major.

Elizabeth Karapandzich is a sophomore communication major.

Alyssa King is a junior intervention specialist major.

Kaitlin Petrilli is a senior early childhood education major.

Kaleigh Stanley is a senior business administration major.

Rose Tabaj is a senior Japanese major. Tabaj is a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School.

To be eligible for Dean's List, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework while achieving a grade point average of 3.550 or better with no grade below a B.

The University of Mount Union, founded in 1846, is a four-year, private institution grounded in the liberal arts tradition.

Saint Mary's College named Kelly Konya to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester. Kelly is the daughter of Maureen and Frank  of Twinsburg, OH.

To earn academic honors at Saint Mary's, a student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have at least 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes, and no grades lower than a C. 

Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind., is a four-year, Catholic, women's institution offering five bachelor's degrees and more than 30 major areas of study.

Jason Bogdany of Twinsburg, has been named to the 2011 fall semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University.

To qualify for Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Ohio Wesleyan University is one of the nation's premier small, private universities, with more than 90 undergraduate majors, sequences, and courses of study, and 23 NCAA Division III varsity sports.

Berklee College of Music announces that Shannon Allen, of Twinsburg, has earned placement on the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2011 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

The Berklee curriculum focuses on practical career preparation for today's music industry.
