The Bissell Elementary School PTO will be holding a Fall Fundraiser read-a-thon entitled Mission Possible: READ! This event takes place September 17 – September 28.
Students will be asked to track how many minutes they read for the two weeks and obtain sponsors for the amount of minutes they read. Our goal is to raise $10,000 and read 185,000 minutes! The money raised is used by the PTO to sponsor assemblies, a science fair, field trips, purchased enrichment/remedial curriculum, provide teacher grants and support other school projects. With the ever tightening school budgets, the role of the PTO fundraiser has increased.
Every student who participates receives a prize. That means we need over 400 prizes! Local business’ or individuals can help support this event by donating prizes(gift cards/items) or cash. There is even an opportunity to sponsor a classroom by matching the money the classroom raises.
We need your help to make this a success and continue the excellent education at Bissell Elementary School. Every individual or business that makes a donation is a part of our Circle of Sponsors where they will receive publicity.
