Rain Barrel Workshop at the Tinker's Creek Watershed Festival

A special rain barrel workshop will be held at the Tinker's Creek Watershed Fesitval, allowing attendees to purchase and create their very own rain barrel to help capture rainwater to be used on their lawn and gardens. You will learn how rain barrels work and will put one together at the workshop.

Space is limited and you must register and pay ahead of time.

Please contact Babette Oestreicher at babette@tinkerscreekwatershed .org or 330-963-6243 by August 31, 2012 to sign up for the rain barrel workshop.

Why would I want a rain barrel?  A rain barrel is a system that collects and stores rainwater from your roof that would otherwise be carried directly  to storm drains and streams. Storing water during storm events can help reduce the amount of stormwater leaving our properties and help keep our waterways clean.
