High School Orchestra to Perform at Ohio Music Education Conference
The group was selected to perform at the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference in 2014.
The Twinsburg High School Orchestra has the honor of playing at a state conference next year.
Superintendent Kathryn Powers said via email that the orchestra was selected to appear at the 2014 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Professional Development Conference.
The event will be held in Columbus February 6-8, 2014.
"We are extremely proud to have our orchestra students represent the Twinsburg City School District at the OMEA Conference," Powers said.
More than 120 groups from all over Ohio submitted CD recordings and only the top groups were selected to perform through a "blind" audition by the judging committees.
The orchestra is directed by Damon Conn.
