Important Dates to Know This Coming School Year
School may still be a few weeks away, but it's never too early to get some of these dates on your calendar
When school let out at the end of May, Monday, Aug. 20 seemed like an eternity. The first day of school is just around the corner for students in the . For some it may be the beginning, while for this year's seniors, it's the beginning of the end.
But with another school year comes more events and things to know. Patch compiled a helpful list of dates and events that you should keep handy this year
1. Pay-to-play fee due dates: Friday, Aug. 10; Monday, Nov. 19; Monday, March 18.

2. School activity fees are due by Friday, Aug. 31.
3. Report card dates: Friday, Oct. 26; Friday, Jan. 11; Friday; Friday, March 15.

4. They may not be back yet, but you know they are already looking forward to these major breaks:
- Thanksgiving: Wednesday, Nov. 21-Friday, Nov. 23
- Winter: Monday, Dec. 24-Tuesday, Jan. 4
- Spring Break: Friday, March 29-Friday, April 5
- Summer Break begins on Thursday, May 30.
