Local College Students Make the Dean's List

Did your son or daughter earn a special honor in college?

Many former students are busy in higher education this year, some earning honors such as the Dean's List.

Here's a few examples of students who were given honors this year:

Marietta College student Kellen Quinn '15 of Twinsburg, OH, has been named to the Spring 2012 Dean's High Honors List.

Quinn is majoring in Petroleum Engineering at Marietta.

Ariel Bissell and Marin Haba are on the Dean's List at Ashland University.

Bissell is majoring in middle grades education. Haba is majoring in digital media journalism.

The following Twinsburg grads were among over 700 students from Walsh University who were named to the Spring 2012 Dean's List:

James Childress was named to the Spring 2012 President's List at LeTourneau University.

Childress achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average to receive this honor.

Jason Bogdany has been named to the 2012 spring semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University.

To qualify for Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Christy Marchiando, a sophomore College of Arts and Sciences student at Creighton University, was named to the spring Dean's List for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the Dean's Honor Roll.

Leah Love, a Criminal Justice Bachelors major at Youngstown State University, has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must carry a semester grade point average of 3.4 or better and take a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit.
