School Board Approves Wage Freeze

The Board of Education approved a wage freeze for central office staff for the next school year

With facing the Twinsburg City School District, more staff members are taking wage freezes for the upcoming school year.

At Wednesday’s Board of Education Meeting, a wage freeze for the central office staff was approved in another effort to save the district money.

Board President Ron Stuver said it isn’t clear yet how much the district will save, but because of the staff size, it won’t be a substantial amount.

“This is the central office staff stepping up to the plate and taking a wage freeze,” Stuver said. “It’s just another example of people recognizing the economic challenges the district is facing.”
