Stephen Shebeck Remains School Board Rep at CVCC

Board member Stephen Shebeck will continue as the district's representative to the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center

The Twinsburg Board of Education appointed member Stephen Shebeck to continue as the district’s representative to the board of the (CVCC) Wednesday night.

Shebeck has spent the past two years as the president of the board of education for the career center, and Twinsburg’s Board President Ron Stuver thought it would be best to continue with his leadership.

“It was important for the next couple years that there be a little veteran leadership that is maintained,” Stuver said. “We felt it was appropriate that Mr. Shebeck continue his service to the CVCC as our representative, which also provides that experience and history.”

Shebeck’s new term officially begins on Jan. 1, 2012 and ends Dec. 31, 2013. He said that after the recent elections, there will be some new faces at the top.

“It’s going to be a challenging year for us due to the election results,” Shebeck said. Along with new board members, CVCC is also .

Even with the changes, Shebeck appreciated the support of his fellow Twinsburg board members.

“I appreciate the support of my colleagues for this additional appointment,” Shebeck said. “And more work.”
