Twinsburg Grad Recognized by Education Department

Matthew Selander is featured on the Ohio Department of Education's Web page

One of Twinsburg's brightest has been recognized by the state for his accomplishments.

Matthew Selander, a recent graduate of Twinsburg High School and the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center, is featured on the Ohio Department of Education's Web page today through Monday.

Selander is one of the 15 finalists for the ODE's "Class of 2011 Spotlight," according to the Twinsburg Bulletin.

He was selected for the spotlight thanks to his high academic performance at both schools and his website www.ourgreenohio.com, which got him third place in the Ohio Business and Professionals of America competition earlier this year.

Selander will be attending Ashland University in the fall, where he will study computer science.
