Batter up, kids!
The Cleveland Indians is offering a summer camp for children ages 6-14 in eight area suburbs, including Twinsburg.
Each camp cosists of two 2-hour sessions and will take a comprehensive approach to teaching the game of baseball. Summer Camp instructors will focus on throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running, according to a prepared statement. At the completion of the second day of camp, each child will receive a fair evaluation and additional advice on how to improve their game.
“Indians Summer Camps provide us an opportunity to teach the fundamentals of the great game of baseball to Cleveland-area youth, and more importantly to foster an appreciation for and attachment to the game and the Tribe. We feel these efforts are critical to growing the game," said Indians President Mark Shapiro.
