'The Cause' Raises $1,300 for Charity

Saturday's event raised more than $1,000 this year to support Aluminum Cans for Burned Children

Saturday's "The Cause" event at the brought in $1,300 to support a local charity, according to the library.

Marketing Director Beth Hatch said the event raised the money with the help of 250 people in attendance to donate to Aluminum Cans for Burned Children.

"The Cause" gives local teens an opportunity to showcase their talents -- from singing, dancing and acting -- while raising money and awareness for ACBC.

In it's 13th year, Hatch said there were 26 performances from teens seventh grade and above.
