War & Remembrance - WWII Army Nurse Marcia Snow

The Twinsburg Public Library is proud to present a woman’s perspective on World War II during our popular War and Remembrance program on Sept. 28th at 11:00 am.

She is Lt. Marcia Snow, a veteran US Army nurse who served in England, France and Belgium during World War II. Marcia signed up for the Army Nurse Corps in 1943. As luck would have it she spent nearly her entire service time in England. She describes the area that she was stationed as being the background for the Sherlock Holmes book, The Hounds of the Baskervilles. Most of her service was in perhaps the safest part of England during the war.

What makes this presentation unique is that Marcia will be sharing a portion of her photo collection she compiled during her time in the military. Come and experience a visual photo journey of what life for an Army Nurse was like in England during the WWII.
