Where the Wild Things are Nature Series: Coyotes of the Cuyahoga Valley


October 10th -7 p.m.

Our top predator, coyotes can be found throughout Ohio. Coyotes are adaptable, smart and creatures of the night. Join Marlo Perdicas, biologist with Metro Parks, serving Summit County, to learn more about how coyotes are living among us.

Lake Erie Wrecks – The Steamer Sun and 7 Discoveries


Tuesday, October 22nd – 7 p.m.

Mike and Georgann Wachter have been privileged to discover over 25 
shipwrecks in Lake Erie. This program explores how they discovered the steamer Sun and examines the wreck in depth. Highlights of seven other recent shipwreck discoveries including a rum runner are included!

funds for library programs and other special projects. We are asking for your help with the valuable community asset. In addition to the 
interactive video races, we will be having a silent auction, ticket raffles, sideboards and other special events. 

War and Remembrance


October 19th-11 a.m.

Cliff Birdsall served in the 106th of those unfortunate GI’s who happened to serve in one of the two regiments which were overrun and forced to surrender during the 
early days of the Battle of the Bulge. The battle, a major German offensive, was launched through the densely forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in Belgium and France and Luxembourg on the Western Front towards the end of World War II. The Germans attacked a weakly defended section of the Allied line, taking advantage of heavily overcast weather conditions, which grounded the Allies' 
overwhelmingly superior air forces.  Upwards of 20,000 US and Allied soldiers were captured. 

President Garfield Speaks


Performer Ed Haney will deliver a first person performance as James 
A. Garfield on Sunday, October 13 at 2 p.m.  He will relate the story of 
his birth in a log cabin, raised by his impoverished widowed mother, the 
unsought nomination for the presidency, his brief administration and

Meet First Lady Caroline Harrison


TPL favorite Craig Schermer returns, this time to perform as his 
favorite first lady, on Sunday, October 20 at 2 p.m.  Schermer has 
done extensive research into her life and will deliver her story in a 
mesmerizing full-costume performance.  Please register online or by

Iron Chef Team Competition


Friday October 18, 1:00 p.m. This 
event is for teams of 2 or 3, grades 7 and up. Each team will have 2 hours to make 2 different dishes, each using the same secret ingredient. We are currently taking registrations. Stop in to Teen Crossings to get your team rules and registration form. 

Pumpkin Painting


October 17th – 6:30 p.m.

Families with children 3 and up are invited to paint seasonal Halloween pumpkins!  We will provide all supplies needed. You may get messy, so dress accordingly.

Halloween Storytelling at the Barn


Thursday, October 24, 2013. 

Join us for spooky stories and family fun at the Twinsburg Historical 
Society Barn. Refreshments will be provided. Parking is available in the lot behind the barn. Please dress for the weather. For children grades K and up. You must register by Monday, October 21. 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
