Great season, Twinsburg!
The Purdue-recruit recently just nabbed another deserving title for her basketball talents.
The 5-foot 9-inch senior told The Plain Dealer "Wow" Wednesday after finding out she is this year's Ms. Basketball in Ohio. Although Ashley Morrissette was nearly speechless, her statistics speak for her: Her list of accalaids doesn't stop with the most recent title of Ms. Basketball. This year, she was also named All-Northeast Lakes District Player of the Year and Player of the Year on the Division I All-Ohio Team, according to The Plain Dealer. The team, which is no doubt led by Morrissette and other talented players, is headed to its third straight trip to the final four.

Who will make it to the Final Four?
Both the Twinsburg and Solon High School girls basketball teams are just a few games away from a state championship — but what team will advance for a chance at the title? The Lady Comets will play the Lady Tigers at 7:30pm at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in a heated matchup. The Tigers, who are now perfect on the season, defeated Hudson March 2 to win the Akron District championship. If they advance and win in the finals, it will be the team's third consecutive team championship. The Solon team beat Mentor 61-55 Tuesday to advance to Friday's matchup, according to the Solon Athletics website.

I think those girls are still champions in our hearts. The streak that they ran was just unbelievable and made Twinsburg all very, very proud. It did not end exactly the way we had hoped but they certainly did not in any way embarrass themselves. Congratulations Tburg girls BB for for a great couple of seasons   more ›
