2010 Census Data Reveals Population Growth and Diversity in Twinsburg

The city's population increased to 18,795 people and became more diverse as minority populations grew and the number of white residents decreased slightly

Despite some economic turbulence toward the end of the decade, the population of Twinsburg has grown since the 2000 Census. In 2010 Twinsburg had a total of 18,795 residents, an increase of nearly 10 percent above the 2000 population. A trend that is seen in other Northeast Ohio communities along with Twinsburg is the substantial growth in diversity.While the number of white people living in the city is down slightly, 34 people, other races have seen a significant increase. The black population in Twinsburg went from 1,484 10 years ago to 2,527, an increase of 70 percent. The biggest difference is seen in the Asian community.
