Authorities are still searching for the thief who robbed a Twinsburg pay-day loan business and used a gun to coerce the clerk into handing over money before fleeing with thousands of dollars in March.
Summit County Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for leads that results in the arrest of a man who used a gun to rob a check cashing business on March 6, according to NewsNet5.com. Police describe the robber as "a black male in his late 20's -early 30's, tall and slender, wearing a black hat, a black sweatshirt type jacket, a gray scarf and gray pants" at the time of the robbery. The man pulled a semi-automatic pistol from a plastic bag and told the clerk she would not be hurt so long as she cooperated. The Advance America on Darrow Road was reportedly robbed Wednesday evening. Police are searching for the suspect.
Twinsburg Police are searching for a man who used a gun to rob a check cashing business on March 6. The robber struck at Advance America on Darrow Road at about 5:58 p.m. March 6. The suspect is described as "a black male in his late 20's -early 30's, tall and slender, wearing a black hat, a black sweatshirt type jacket, a gray scarf and gray pants." Police Chief Chris Noga said the robber used displayed a handgun during the robbery and that he took off with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect should call Twinsburg Police at 330-425-1234. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. The case remains under investigation.
