A man reported for menacing in Reminderville and Twinsburg was arrested Tuesday afternoon
A man wanted by Twinsburg police for menacing was arrested in Reminderville Tuesday. Michael Simon, 27, was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to Police Chief Christopher Noga Simon was wanted after several calls reported someone harassing residents of Twinsburg and Reminderville. One Twinsburg woman was taking out the trash and ended up in handcuffs. On Sept. 17 a Twinsburg police officer was patrolling Darrow Park Drive when he recognized a woman who was standing by a community dumpster. The woman had an active warrant from Solon police on a traffic offense. The officer talked to her and arrested her after she admitted to the warrant. She was transferred to Solon. Her 7-year-old son had to call for help after she overdosed on pain relievers, report says.
A 7-year-old boy saved his mother's life after an apparent suicide attempt, according to Twinsburg police. The Darrow Park Road boy called his aunt in California, who called police in Cleveland, which then alerted officers in Twinsburg. When police arrived to the woman's apartment, officers found the 37-year-old woman "passed out on the couch" with her son in the apartment, according to police. Officers attempted to keep her awake, even though she was not responding to their questions. The boy said his mom had taken some pills and police found empty bottles of ibuprofen and night-time pain reliever. When police spoke to the aunt, she said the mother called her earlier, saying things like "I can't, I'm not stable" and "I took 150 pills …

Vandals struck a local pizza place, according to Twinsburg police. On Sept. 8 around 1:30 a.m. the alarm for Romeo's Pizza on Ravenna Road alerted police of a front glass break. Police found two large holes in the window and slight damage to the building. The manager responded and found several large pieces of blacktop inside the store. More mailbox vandalism Police found a mailbox on the ground on Cannon Road on Sept. 8 around 2:30 a.m. After investigating, the officer found several other mailboxes in the area had been damaged. One Twinsburg father cracked the case of his son's stolen bike. A Belleau resident told police on Sept. 6 that his bike was stolen from the Twinsburg Fitness Center, but there were no leads on who may have taken it. That was until dad was on the case. The next day the boy's father saw a Twinsburg Township juvenile riding his son's Schwin BMX bike behind R.B. Chamberlin Middle School. Police found the boy riding the bike near the football stadium. The boy was arrested and taken into the station where he was picked up by his aunt. Police forwarded receiving stolen property charges (first-degree misdemeanor) to the Summit County Juvenile Court. The bike was given back to the dad and his son.

One Ravenna Road woman got a bad surprise after stepping out of the shower. On Aug. 22 a woman told Twinsburg police that her ex-boyfriend had stolen her car, her purse and $350 cash while she was bathing. Police entered the car as stolen. Keep the crack pipes at home, please On Aug. 22 police pulled over a car on I-480 near State Route 91 for speeding. Not only did the driver have a warrant from Rocky River on drug charges, his passenger was found with syringes, a spoon and two crack pipes. He was wanted in Pennsylvania on burglary charges. A woman living at Arbor Glen went to police on Aug. 16 to report a theft. She told police she believed two diamonds, one carat each and valued at $1,000, were stolen from a pair of earrings in her home. He needed more power On Aug. 13 police were called to a Ravenna Road business for a report of stolen extension cords. The business owner stated that on Aug. 11 a man took the extension cords from the work vehicles parked outside the business. Police reviewed security footage from a nearby business which showed the suspect, his vehicle and the actual theft. Police are investigating the incident. On Aug. 18, at around 1:30 a.m. Twinsburg police were called to a Cannon Road residence for a car accident. According to police, the woman was driving drunk on Cannon Road and took the turn too wide, striking a guardrail, going across the road and hitting a mailbox. The woman was charged with drunken driving and failure to control. More drunken drivers Streetsboro police advised Twinsburg officers of a reckless driver traveling westbound on 480 on Aug. 16. Police found the car and the driver had an open container of alcohol in the center console. After failing field sobriety tests, the Cleveland man was arrested for drunken driving. Twinsburg police got a call for a disturbance on Richner Court on Aug. 13. But it wasn't what officers expected. When they arrived there wasn't much of a disturbance, just a man who tripped over a power washer. Unfortunately, the man did have a warrant out for his arrest and was taken in to the Oakwood Police Department. That's yard work? A Glenwood Drive resident called police on Aug. 11 saying a group of juveniles were "smoking drugs" in nearby yard. Officers found four juveniles and one adult. A 19-year-old Mayfield Heights man has been charged with carrying concealed weapons, possession of drug parahernalia and underage alcohol possession after he was pulled over by Twinsburg police. According to police, on Aug. 12 officers saw his car sitting in the Mr. Chicken parking lot on Darrow Road and ran the license plate as it pulled out onto the road. Police noted the license plate expired two days earlier and that the car was smoking from the front wheels. Officers pulled the car over and told the man it was unfit to drive. As the man exited the car, officers did a precautionary pat down and found a large buck knife in his front pocket, according to police. They also found a smoking device with marijuana residue in another pocket. …
