A 20-year-old Solon man faces assault charges after his 19-year-old girlfriend told Twinsburg Police he assaulted her at a Twinsburg motel. On April 22, the woman called police to say that her boyfriend assaulted her at the Blue Top Motel on Ravenna Road and then fled in her car, according to the police report. The woman was treated by paramedics for minor injuries. The man was found a short time later at a home on Ravenna Road. He was charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.

A 19-year-old Twinsburg man was arrested and charged with assault and menacing by stalking after police responded to a fight at the Kent State Campus in Twinsburg. According to the police report, the man is accused of assaulting and menacing a 19-year-old Stow woman on the campus located on Creekside Drive in Twinsburg. The assault occured on March 11, according to police. The man was arrested and taken to the Solon Jail, where he will be arraigned by video at Stow Municipal Court.

A 60-year-old Twinsburg man told police that he was assaulted by his wife and then she bolted in his car. According to a police report, police went to a home on Ravenna Road on March 1 to check on the man's welfare. They arrived to find the man with a bleeding laceration on his head. He told officers that his 61-year-old wife had attacked him and then taken his car and left. The wife was located on March 2. She was arrested and charged with domestic violence. She was takent to the Solon jail and held without bond. Her first court appearance was March 4.

A Twinsburg woman was charged with menacing and simple assault after police responded to a 911 hangup. According to a Twinsburg Police report, officers went to a home in Arbor Glenn after a 911 call and discovered that there had been an argument and an assault over money and the death of a relative. A woman was arrested and charged with menacing and simple assault. She was taken to Solon jail.

A 60-year-old Twinsburg man was arrested after he pushed a Twinsburg Police officer who was trying to stop him from driving drunk from a gas station. Just after midnight on Feb. 17, the man pulled into GetGo on Hadden Road and attemped to buy a 12-pack of beer. A Twinsburg police officer was working security at the gas station and informed the man, who was visibly drunk, that he could not buy beer and could not drive away, according to the police report. The man tried to get in his car and pushed the police officer and then closed the door on her arm while she was attempting to stop him from driving away. A Twinsburg teenager faces an assault charge in juvenile court after he started a fight with another teen on a school bus on Feb. 8, according to Twinsburg Police. The teenager, a 16-year-old Twinsburg resident, is accused of charging and instigating a fight with a 15-year-old teen on a school bus at about 2:19 p.m. on Feb. 8, according to the police report. Both teens were taken to the Twinsburg Police Department and questioned. The victim was taken home and the mother of the charged teen was called to pick him up. He will face the assault charge, a first-degree misdemeanor, in Summit County Juvenile Court.

A Twinsburg officer on patrol caught a man wanted by Cuyahoga County authorities for assault, according to Twinsburg Police. The officer was patrolling the Giant Eagle Parking lot when he noticed a van parked at Charter One Bank with its lights on. The officer checked out the van's information, and learned that its owner had a warrant out for his arrest on an assault case from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office. The police officer pulled over the driver, who was confirmed to be the owner, Lorenzo Jefferson, 60, of Warrensville. Jefferson was arrested and taken to the Solon jail.

A 33-year-old Twinsburg man attacked his sister and left her injured in a parking lot and later fought back against police, according to Twinsburg Police. Arrested and charged was Robert L. Reilly, 33, of Twinsburg. His charges are include felonious assault, a second-degree felony, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report. On Jan. 14 just before midnight, police say that Reilly and his sister began to fight while drinking at Rush Hour. They left the bar and began walking through Massara's Plaza on Ravenna Road when Reilly reportedly began to punch his sister, according to the report. Twinsburg police tasered a drunken, belligerent man twice after he tried to fight officers who had asked him to leave a bar, according to a police report. Christopher L. Hoch, 29, of Twinsburg, is charged with assault, vandalism, resisting arrest and intoxication, according to the police report. The assault and vandalism charges are both felonies. According to police report, employees at Rush Hour on Ravenna road called police on Dec. 15 just after midnight reporting that a drunken man had refused to leave the bar when they asked him to. Using your head at work is always a good idea... But maybe not like this. Twinsburg police were called to a business on 2000 block of Summit Commerce Park for an assault. When talking to the victim, he told police his co-worker, a 44-year-old Akron man, head-butted him after an argument about work. The man was holding a rag to his face and police said there was blood on his shirt. He was checked out by paramedics at the scene. The two men were arguing over poor work performance when the victim said he was attacked. The incident was caught on video and was also seen by several other employees. The victim pressed assault charges against the employee. The charge was a first-degree misdemeanor.
