Man Urinates on Car, Charged With Drunken Driving, Drugs

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction

When you have to go, you have to go. On the evening of Feb. 20, a Twinsburg police officer pulled into the GetGo gas station on Hadden Road to check on a car that drove in with its hazard lights on. That's when the officer saw a man get out and "start urinating on the side of the car in the parking lot." The man was identified and found to have a suspended license. While speaking to the public reliever, the officer noticed a strong smell of an alcoholic drink. The man was arrested and performed some field sobriety tests at the police station, but refused a breath test. A small bag of marijuana was also found on him. He was charged with drunken driving, driving under suspension, drug abuse and public indecency.

Failure to Stop Leads to Drug Bust: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Feb. 16, Twinsburg police saw a car fail to come to a complete stop at the corner of Chamberlin and Ravenna Roads. While speaking with the driver, police saw a baggy of marijuana sticking out from the side of the center console. After a probable cause search they found a glass marijuana smoking pipe inside the center console. The man was charged with misdemeanor drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia (a fourth degree misdemeanor) and released at the scene with a court date. On Feb. 13 officers conducted a traffic stop of a car driving along Glenwood Drive for a traffic violation. The male driver was  arrested for a warrant from another department. Police: Drunk Driver Hit Snow Plow Then Fled

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Saturday, Feb. 11 the Twinsburg Police Department got a report of car that struck a city snow plow then fled, near State Routes 91 and 82. The driver of the snow plow gave police a description of the car as well as the license plate number. Officers stopped the car on the 9300 block of Ravenna Road and spoke with the male driver. After talking with the man, they believed he was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and given a breath test with a blood-alcohol level of .130. The man was charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of a accident, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open container.

Police Bust Man With Drugs, Counterfeit Bill: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan. 29, while at a routine traffic stop, Twinsburg police officers noted a strong smell of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car. After a canine unit found a positive smell, the man was placed into a cruiser. A search of the car uncovered a marijuana grinder with residue and two marijuana cigarettes from the center console. A counterfeit ten dollar bill was recovered in front passenger seat. The man was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia. On Jan. 28 a resident reported that in 2011 someone in Michigan used her name and birth date to get utilities connected to a house there then did not pay the bill. She is working with her bank, the credit reporting agencies, and the utility company to get this removed from …

Store Owner Follows Shoplifter to His Home: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan. 30 around noon, Twinsburg police officers went to a Stonecreek Lane home for a reported theft. The owner of True Value Hardware on Ravenna Road had followed a shoplifter to his house. Officers spoke to the owner of hardware store and the suspected shoplifter. According to the report he had taken a bag of salt and ice melt. The man was arrested and charged with theft and later released on bond. On Jan. 23 officers stopped a car on I-480 at SR 91  for expired plates. Police found a loaded 45-calibur handgun in his glovebox. The driver was arrested for carrying a concealed gun and improper handling of in gun in a car. Men Walk Off With Wire at Twinsburg Store: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan. 20 around 11 a.m. Twinsburg police responded to the True Value Hardware store on Ravenna Road for a theft. According to the report, two men came into the store the day before and one of them stole a package of wire valued at $230. This case is under investigation. On Jan. 22 an officer stopped a car for a traffic violation on SR 91 near Twinsburg Road. According to the report, the driver was drunk. The man was arrested for drunken driving after failing field sobriety tests and taken to the station for a breathalyzer. His blood alcohol level was .211%. The driver was released to a family member on bond and given a court date. On Jan. 22 officers responded to a Parker Lane home after a man told police he crashed his car on I-480. …

Step-Father Accused of Slashing Kid's Tires: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department

On Jan. 10, a Twinsburg woman went to the Twinsburg Police Department to report criminal mischief report. The woman said her daughter was a the Twinsburg Public Library when the tires on her car were slashed. A witness gave a description of the suspect who the woman said could possibly be her her former step-father. This case is still under investigation. On Jan. 10, the vice president of an Edison Boulevard business, Situation Materials, reported a propane tank storage unit was stolen from outside of the business. On Jan. 11, the manager of CVS Pharmacy at 8059 Darrow Rd. called police to report there were two males in the lobby of the store who were asked to leave. Several People Arrested for Drunken Driving: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department

  On Jan. 2 Twinsburg police arrested a 40-year-old woman for drunken driving and driving under suspension. She was to the station and charged with driving under the influence of liquor, weaving, and under suspension. On Jan. 6th, while on patrol, officers stopped a car for weaving on Chamberlin Rd. and Parker Ln. The driver was charged for weaving, drunken driving, and blowing  .151 in the breathalyzer, way above the legal limit. On Jan. 7 police were called to an accident on SR 82 at SR 91 in front of the Starbucks. Officers found the driver at fault was drunk, according to the report. Police Make Multiple Drug Busts: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department.

On Dec. 30 Twinsburg police responded a house on Charles Court on account of a suspicious car. The car was spotted on the street and the two male occupants were found with marijuana butts and pipes, according to the report. Both men were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. On Dec. 31 officers were called to Ashcroft Lane for an assault. Officers spoke to the victim, who said her ex-boyfriend had shown up at her house uninvited and ended up pushing her off her front porch. He then fled the area. The victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries. Officers contacted the ex-boyfriend on his cell phone and he turned himself into police, charged with assault and released on a $500.00 signature …

Woman Caught With Weed in Her Bra: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department

On Dec. 23 a Ravenna woman was taken to the Twinsburg Police Department for processing of a failure to appear charge. During a search, a dispatcher found a baggy of marijuana hidden in her bra. The woman was charged with drug possession. On Dec. 23 officers were called to an accident on Westwood Drive and found a silver Jeep in the ditch. Ptl. Officers ran the plates and went to speak with the owner who said he didn't know anything about a accident. The officer asked repeatedly about the accident but the owner denied any knowledge and stated that his car was stolen.
