Kent State Looks Back, Ahead at Regional Academic Center (VIDEO)

Video shows new $24 million facility in Twinsburg, discussing the past and the future.

The new Kent State University Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg has been holding classes for weeks, but was officially dedicated on Wednesday. Kent State President Lester Lefton along with Twinsburg Mayor Katherine Procop cut the ribbon on the new 44,000-square-foot, $24 million two-story facility on Creekside Drive. University officials said this new academic center is a great opportunity for Kent State to offer a lower-cost education to a wider-range of Northeast Ohio students. Kent State-Geauga Dean Given Prestigous Award

Dr. David Mohan has been awarded the university’s 2012 Diversity Trailblazer Award

  Dr. David Mohan, dean of Kent State University at Geauga, has been awarded the university’s 2012 Diversity Trailblazer Award. Kent State’s Diversity Trailblazer Award is a universitywide award that recognizes faculty, staff or departmental group for their significant contributions to enhance diversity and inclusive excellence at Kent State. Mohan oversees the university’s Regional Campus in Burton and the Kent State University Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg. The two locations serve more than 2,500 students. “This award is important because it is designed to recognize a person who internalizes one of the core values of the university, which is excellence in diversity and inclusion,” said Rev.
