Two basketball coaches were issued minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct after they get into a fight during a youth basketball game in Twinsburg — and readers aren't happy about the situation. According to police, one of the coaches threw the other coach to the ground at Edge Sports Performance Academy in Twinsburg Jan. 26. One of the coaches is from Strongsville. Police officers said there was blood on the right hand and nose of one of the coaches. Two basketball coaches were issued minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct after they get into a fight during a youth basketball game in Twinsburg, according to a Twinsburg Police report. The fight occured during a youth basketball tournament on Jan. 26 at the Edge Sports Performance Academy on Ravenna Road. A witness to the fight called 911 at about 1:46 p.m. to report the fight, which began after the coaches started arguing about the game. One of the coaches told police that the other man threw him to the ground. Police officers say blood on the right hand and nose of one of the coaches. The fight was broken up by other coaches, according to the report. Both men were ordered to appear at the Stow Municipal Court on Feb. 1.

A 24-year-old Twinsburg woman called 911 to report that her friend was sick and needed help. But then when officials arrived at the Ridgewood Court address, the woman repeatedly tried to keep police officers out of the residence because the cops had smelled burning marijuana, according to a police report. The woman was also deemed to be intoxicated, and she was arrested and taken to Solon Jail on charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicating and obstructing official business. The sick friend, a 21-year-old Boston Heights woman, turned out to be drunk.

A 52-year-old Twinsburg man was arrested after he became unruly at a local bar and refused to pay his tab. According to a Twinsburg Police report, officers went to Rav's Creekside on Darrow Road on Jan. 18 after they got a hang-up call from the bar. Once they arrived, the bar tender told police that a patron would not pay his bill and refused to leave. He was arrested and taken to the Solon jail. The man is charged with disorderly conduct and petty theft. The man was also wanted on an active warrant from Walton Hills Police.

A witness reported seeing a group of young men fighting outside a Twinsburg church, according to a police report. The fight was reported on Jan. 12 at about 1:28 a.m. in the parking lot outside the Good Shepard Christian Church on Shepard Road. Police went to the church and four a car with four men drinking inside. The driver was not cited, but the three passengers were all cited for underage consumption. Two of the men were also cited for disorderly conduct. They will be in Stow Municipal Court for a hearing on Jan. 18.

A woman causing a disruption in Solon should have kept a lower profile. A public disturbance caused her to be noticed by police and apprehended on an arrest warrant for Twinsburg Police. Danielle Renee Kriso, 41, of Solon was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she was seen by Solon Police kicking over construction barrels and swearing loudly in a Solon parking lot, according to Solon Police. Also charged was James Jarvis, 49, of Cleveland. According to the report, police officers witnessed the two people walking through a shopping center parking lot kicking construction barrels and swearing loudly. Twinsburg police officers most likely had an interesting evening with this lovely couple. Officers got a call on Oct. 19 about a woman standing in front of a Darrow Road business in Town Center after her boyfriend kicked her out of the car and took off. He, 25, was mad because she, 19, wouldn't get a job. She was angry because he kicked her out and took her stuff with him. Police told the man to come back, which he did, and agreed to drop her off at a bus station. Several hours later he came back to the police station because she was throwing things around the car. Twinsburg police were called to BayLobsters Fish Market on Darrow Road on Aug. 2 for a report of a man arguing with employees. While on the way officers were told the store's silent alarm had been pushed. When police arrived they saw a group of people arguing in front of the store; the two owners, one employee and a customer. Police separated the group and talked with the owners and employee. They said the man, a Darrow Road resident, came in asking for a certain employee and started chasing and threatening him, pushing around tables and chairs. This just proves that even when off duty, cops are still on the job. On June 23 while at the GetGo on Hadden Road, an off-duty Twinsburg police officer noticed several drunk people in a car and wandering around the store. He called the station for police assistance. Kenneth Suering, 40, of Brooklyn, Ohio, was charged with physical control and Melody Shelnick, 39, and Patrick Wilson, 39, both also of Brooklyn, were charged with disorderly conduct. The off-duty officer told police that the three appeared to be drunk; Suering was sitting in his car with the keys while Shelnick and Wilson were "stumbling around the store," according to the police report. Twinsburg police police arrested a man who is accused of harrassing people at a local church while he was drunk on Tuesday, March 20. Anthony Vonni, 31, of Twinsburg, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest for drunkenly harassing people at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on East Idlewood Drive. This wasn't Vonni's first run in with police. The day before, officers found him drunk at the Twinsburg Public Library and gave him a warning for public intoxication. Later that same day he was warned for walking in traffic while drunk on Ravenna Road. During the arrest on March 20, Vonni refused to be handcuffed, constantly dropping himself to the ground.
