Teen Charged With Assault After School Bus Fight

A Twinsburg teenager faces an assault charge in juvenile court after he started a fight with another teen on a school bus on Feb. 8, according to Twinsburg Police. The teenager, a 16-year-old Twinsburg resident, is accused of charging and instigating a fight with a 15-year-old teen on a school bus at about 2:19 p.m. on Feb. 8, according to the police report. Both teens were taken to the Twinsburg Police Department and questioned. The victim was taken home and the mother of the charged teen was called to pick him up. He will face the assault charge, a first-degree misdemeanor, in Summit County Juvenile Court.

Men Fight Outside Church, Get Cited For Underage Drinking

The information in this report is from the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A witness reported seeing a group of young men fighting outside a Twinsburg church, according to a police report. The fight was reported on Jan. 12 at about 1:28 a.m. in the parking lot outside the Good Shepard Christian Church on Shepard Road. Police went to the church and four a car with four men drinking inside. The driver was not cited, but the three passengers were all cited for underage consumption. Two of the men were also cited for disorderly conduct. They will be in Stow Municipal Court for a hearing on Jan. 18.

Girl's Violin Stolen and Multiple Drunk Drivers Charged: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan 13 the mother of a Dodge Intermediate School student came to the Twinsburg Police Department to report that her daughter's violin was taken from the school. She reported that the violin was left at the school before Christmas break and was missing when she got back to school on Jan. 4. The value of the violin is estimated at $200. On Jan. 13 police responded to a reported hit-skip car accident on I-480. Officers later found the suspect driving south on SR 91 away from the accident and initiated a traffic stop. After investigation, the 57-year-old driver was arrested for drunken driving, a hit-skip accident, and speeding. On Jan. 13 officers stopped a truck on I-480 east bound.
