Great Expectations Show Choir Places Third In California Invitational

The Los Alamitos Show Choir Invitational was the most competitive Show Choir Invitational in the country with five of the highest-ranked show choirs competing.

Congratulations to Randall Lanoue and Twinsburg High School's Great Expectations for winning 3rd Place and Best Costumes in the Los Alamitos Show Choir Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif., on Saturday.  Great Expectations, which has won numerous team and individual honors this season, was one of 57 show choirs including those from California, Illinois and Alabama to compete in the Invitational that began on Thursday.  The show choir's director, Randall Lanoue, said this was the most competitive Show Choir Invitational in the country with five of the highest-ranked show choirs competing.  "I am very proud of our students as GE is now recognized as one of the best show choirs in the country!" said Superintendent Kathi Powers. Twinsburg's Great Expectations Show Choir Named Grand Champion Again

Great Expectations and the RBC Singers were each named Grand Champions at the Medina Show Choir Invitational.

Twinsburg's Great Expectations and the RBC Singers were each named Grand Champions at the Medina Show Choir Invitational this past weekend. Great Expectations, which has already won competitions this year, also won best costumes, best choreography and best show design. The RBC Singers also were named grand champions in the middle school division. Congratulations Tigers!

Great Expectations Named Grand Champions At Indiana Competition

On Feb. 9, Twinsburg High School's Great Expectations Show Choir and the RBC Singers, under the direction of Randall Lanoue, excelled in the DeKalb Show Choir Invitational.

On Feb. 9, Twinsburg High School's Great Expectations Show Choir and the RBC Singers, under the direction of Randall Lanoue, excelled in the DeKalb Show Choir Invitational. Great Expectations won Grand Champion along with Best Vocals and Best Choreography! The RBC Singers won Grand Champion in the middle school division along with Best Vocals and Best Choreography! Congratulations to these outstanding, talented students and Randall Lanoue and special thanks to the Twinsburg Vocal Music Boosters!

Twinsburg High Show Choir Topples Top-Ranked Solon To Win Showcase

Twinsburg High's Great Expectations show choir was named Grand Champion at the Marysville Show Choir Showcase.

Twinsburg High's Great Expectations Show Choir was named Grand Champions at last weekend's Marysville Show Choir Showcase, besting some of the most accomplished show choirs in the midwest. Among the vanquished was neighboring rival Solon, whose Music in Motion Show Choir was the top-ranked in the country and had won grand champion at every competition last year. Solon won second place. Great Expectations also received an award for best choreography. Twinsburg's win over Solon is quite the accomplishment. Solon was ranked first in the online National Show Choir Rank System. Twinsburg was rated 29th. Congratulations to the show choir on this big win!

Watch Show Choir Talent Perform at Solon's First Ever Competition

Fourteen show choirs, including Twinsburg, Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls, will compete this weekend in Solon High School's first ever show choir competition.

Solon High School's Music in Motion show choir is hosting its first-ever competition this Saturday, March 3. Fourteen show choirs from Ohio and Virginia, including choirs from Twinsburg, Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls, will compete to be Grand Champion at the Solon Show Choir Invitational 2012. The first choir performs at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Solon High School auditorium. Choirs will then perform every half hour throughout the day. The six best choirs return for finals beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wristbands are only available at the door the day of the show. Daytime Competition admission costs $8. The Finals Competition is $8 also. Music in Motion will not compete but will perform at 10:30 p.m. followed by the Finals Awards presentation. …

Twinsburg Hosting Northcoast Show Choir Invitational Saturday

Solon's "Music in Motion" will be competing in the competition hosted by "Great Expectations"

This Saturday show choirs from all around will converge on Twinsburg High School as it hosts the 2012 Northcoast Show Choir Invitational. Hosted by Twinsburg's Great Expectations, the show will see groups such as Solon's Music in Motion compete for the Grand Championship. The show begins as early as 8 a.m. Looking for passes? Here are your options: Schools competing include Brush, Euclid, Medina, Strongsville, and more. The show will feature mixed, single-gender, and middle school divisions, which will be divided by school enrollment. The top six mixed groups will perform in the evening finals for the Grand Championship.

Great Expectations Ready for Medina Midwest Showcase

Both the high school and middle school show choirs will compete

Twinsburg High School's show choir, Great Expectations, heads to Medina High School Saturday, Feb. 18  along with seventeen high school and middle school show choirs in a full-scale, full-day competition; the third-annual Medina Midwest Showcase.  Each choir will perform a twenty minute song and dance show set for a panel of expert judges and a large audience of fans and supporters.  This year’s event will offer an educational critique session to the members of each show choir following their performance in order to further enhance the experience of the visiting choirs.
