Here are several ways you can make sure your sports teams are highlighted on Twinsburg Patch.

Fall sports have started and Patch wants to help you share every exciting moment with the community. We are looking for athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans who are ready, willing and able to share their team spirit on Patch. News about any team—high school, middle school, rec teams, etc.—is welcome. Here's how you can share news about your sports team: 1. Start a blog about your sports team: Share stats, recaps, photos and/or videos from the game in your own sports blog. Football Program Moving to Division II

The Twinsburg Tiger football team will be leaving Division I in 2013

On Thursday the Ohio High School Athletic Association approved adding a seventh tournament division to high school football by a 6-3 vote, forcing some teams to change divisions. According to Ohio.com, the Twinsburg Tigers will be affected by the change. Twinsburg will drop from its current Division I standing to Division II for the 2013 season, Ohio.com reports. They will be joined by Cuyahoga Falls, Nordonia, as well as other teams forced to make the move. According to the OHSAA, the move was made to address the "enrollment disparity" between Division I schools and make teams more even, it said in a press release. The Tigers barely missed the state playoffs last season, despite a huge win over the top Division I team, Mentor. Twinsburg …

Area Schools React to Chardon Shooting

Chardon High School shooting spurs police presence, notes of reassurance to area parents

A student is dead and four others injured after a student opened fire at Chardon High School in Geauga County this morning. School districts in the area responded quickly, sending notes to parents and students reassuring them of their own safety practices in the event of a dangerous situation. Tigers Boys Basketball Kicks Season Off Tonight

Twinsburg basketball hopes to start off strong against the Tallmadge Blue Devils

After a disappointing season last year, the Twinsburg Tigers basketball team hopes to start of on the right foot tonight as they host the Tallmadge Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. inside Twinsburg High School. Led by coach Bob Pasci, this year's team will have to do without stud Aaron Macer, who graduated. However, they will have some of their top players back including Malik Billingsly, Nick Southworth, A.J. Edwards and Jalen Washington. You can view the entire season schedule here.

Fox 8 Helicopter Landing on Football Field Friday, Game Televised

The Stow-Munroe Falls/Twinsburg game has been selected as the Fox 8 Game of the Week

The Stow-Munroe Falls/Twinsburg High School football game Friday night has been selected as the Fox 8 News Game of the Week. Prior to the start of the game at 7 p.m. at the high school, a helicopter will land in the practice field next to the stadium. Time Warner Cable announced it will be televising the Stow-Twinsburg game. Tune into NEON channel 23 at 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. or 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. to watch the game.  Coverage will also be available on Local On Demand channel 411, in the "SPORTS" category, the week following each game. In addition, Varsity Sports Preview, a 30-minute show focusing on key games for the week, will air Thursdays at 7 p.m. and prior to each game Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to TWC…
