It's a new year, and time for new resolutions
Happy New Year! Can you believe it's already 2012? With each new year, many of us out there make new resolutions. Some may argue that you don't need a certain day of the year to decide to make a change, but what better day than today? It's a fresh start right? We want to know what your resolution(s) is/are. Did you decide that it's time to join a gym? Maybe you want to try a new food? Or maybe you want to stay in contact with your family better? Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital's Injury Prevention Center offer this Mocktail Recipe Guide for delicious non-alcoholic drinks. They sound delicious! Mock Champagne Punch • 2 (2 liter) bottles ginger ale, chilled • 1 (46 oz) can pineapple juice, chilled • 1 (64 oz) bottle white grape juice, chilled To make ice ring: Fill a ring-shaped cake pan to 1/2 with ginger ale. Freeze until partially frozen. At this stage you can place edible flowers, or pieces of fruit around the ring. Fill pan with ginger ale and freeze until solid. It was time to leave, but how could I?
Scanning the lush green horizon beyond the playground, I breathed in mountain air. How could a place captivate me like this? Or a people? In just one week? I considered my home. Our children are the fifth generation to live on our farm. We have family for neighbors, space to roam. Who gets to enjoy that kind of heritage? Ah. The children of the Dominican Republic. Maybe that’s why I fell in love. Families live simply: eating together, playing dominoes, talking. Most folks live all their lives in the village they were born in and have no desire to be elsewhere. Twinsburg's Christ Community Fellowship Church is giving resident's who are less fortunate something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The church is hosting a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. at it's 10900 Ravenna Rd. location. The RSVP deadline for the dinner is this Saturday, Nov. 19.
