Relay Rakes in $50,000 This Weekend
Relay for Life Twinsburg-Nordonia has until August to reach its goal of $85,000 for 2012
The 2012 Relay for Life Twinsburg-Nordonia Chairperson Rob Felber hoped the event would have raised more this year, but he knew his goal was lofty. “I expected it to be more but I’m not sure we will hit our goal,” Felber said. “$85,000 was a bit of a stretch.” As of Monday Felber said they had raised around $50,000, but there are still a few months of fundraising left before their fiscal year closes in August. To help fundraising, Felber said Luminaria sales onsite were around $1,100. Luminarias are bags with candles inside to honor cancer victims and survivors.
