Someone Here Could Help Save a Life at Saturday's Bone Marrow Drive

A woman from Vermont with many ties to Stow is looking for a bone marrow match after her leukemia relapsed.

She's miles away in Vermont, but a group of Stow people organizing a bone marrow drive Saturday for a friend with leukemia hope to find someone in northeast Ohio who is a match for Amelia Lincoln.  Lincoln, who is married to 1999 Stow-Munroe Falls High School graduate James Patterson, recently relapsed which prompted friends to take action.  "He told me his wife relapsed with leukemia and we put this all together," said Annal Vyas, a close friend of the couple who were married in 2005. Vyas and more than 40 friends in the Stow area have organized a bone marrow drive Saturday at the high school from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. "There are so many people involved," said Vyas.
