Ride for 9/11 Comes Through Kent, Stairwell Art for Exercise, and More: Around the Patch

Interested in news outside your Patch area? We've got you covered with our 'Around the Patch' feature

Video: Rally Against Senate Bill 5 in Downtown Akron

Hundreds turned out at Laborers' International to protest measure that would weaken public employees' unions in Ohio

Opponents of a bill that would sharply curtail the collective bargaining rights of Ohio's public employees held rallies across the state Tuesday, hoping to build momentum against a measure already adopted by the state Senate and pending in the House of Representatives. In Northeast Ohio, rallies were held in Strongsville, where nearly 1,000 turned out, and Akron, where about 400 people protested at the Laborers' International Hall.
