Police are searching for a man wanted for felony theft after he stole a laptop from the dining room of Panera Bread in Twinsburg. A Panera employee, 41-year-old Elizabeth A. Judd of Streetsboro, was also charged with felony theft because police say she helped the suspect with the theft, according to the police report. A 28-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man, Justin Lee Hall, is also wanted for felony theft. The laptop, valued at about $1,000, belonged to a Panera employee who was working in the restaurant. She stepped away from the computer and asked Judd to watch the laptop for her. Surveillance footage from the incident on Jan. 17 shows that a man then quickly unplugged the laptop and walked out of the restaurant. After Judd was arrested, …

Crews are constantly working where the new Panera Bread will soon be baking on Darrow Road. But the big question in Twinsburg: When will it open? Building Commissioner Russ Rodic said the owners haven't specified a date yet, but it should be open in early December. "Maybe after this week I might know more," Rodic said Tuesday. He said workers have been rennovating the 5,800 square-foot space in the Town Center shopping plaza, next to Giant Eagle. Right now they are working on roofing, plumbing and electrical. With several new places opening up in Twinsburg, Patch wants to know what you like best.
Business has been good in Twinsburg recently, with several new stores and restaurants opening and more on the way. A new Goodwill opened in Twinsburg Plaza on Ravenna Road in August. The 13,000 square-foot retail store at 10735 Ravenna Rd., featureing goods at bargain prices and serve as a donation site in the community for gently used clothes, furniture, books, household items, and more. The owners of Brewster's opened up Bica this week, a coffee and sandwich shop next to their restaurant on Creekside Drive. The grand opening is Monday, but they prepared this week with a soft open. Panera Bread advocates might not have to wait too long for the restaurant to be baking in Twinsburg. Planning Director Larry Finch said Panera is moving forward with plans to occupy multiple spaces in Town Center Plaza on Darrow Road. They will be the south end of the building, by near Giant Eagle. There is no "apparent date" because no contract for the interior modifications has been on file, but Finch expects it to happen soon. "They're at least a month or two from being open," Finch said. The food chain has filed plans with the city to move into the Darrow Road location
Panera Bread may be breaking bread in Twinsburg in the near future. The company has submitted plans to the city's building department to move into Twinsburg Town Center on Darrow Road, near the Giant Eagle, according to Planning Coordinator Lynn Muter. While there aren't many details yet, Muter said they are looking to renovate a 5,800 square-foot space in the shopping center, adjacent to Studio Wish Salon. "The plans are under the building department's review," Muter said. Because they would occupy an existing space, the process should move much quicker. Cleveland Browns linebacker will sign autographs as part of fundraiser
Cleveland Browns Linebacker Scott Fujita will be in Solon Oct. 4 to help kick off Panera Bread's fundraiser for breast cancer research. Fujita will be at the Solon Panera signing free autographs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is part of Panera's "Kick Off Day for a Cure" on Oct. 4. Throughout October, Panera will donate a portion of the sale of its pink-ribbon bagels to the Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Institute.
