A 24-year-old Twinsburg woman called 911 to report that her friend was sick and needed help. But then when officials arrived at the Ridgewood Court address, the woman repeatedly tried to keep police officers out of the residence because the cops had smelled burning marijuana, according to a police report. The woman was also deemed to be intoxicated, and she was arrested and taken to Solon Jail on charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicating and obstructing official business. The sick friend, a 21-year-old Boston Heights woman, turned out to be drunk.

Twinsburg Police broke up a house party with dozens of people and cited the homeowner for allowing underage drinking, according to a police report. Police were called to a home on Cynthia Drive and told there was a house party going on with a bunch of kids on New Year's Eve. Officers arrived at the party, which had as many as 35 guests, and cited 5 people for alcohol related offenses, including the resident, a 23-year-old man. He was cited with providing a residence for underage alcohol consumption, according to the police report. Three people were charged with underage drinking, one of which was a 16-year-old girl also charged with obstructing official business for lying to police.
