The two-time All-Star will be a regular contributor on Patch, answering questions, posting exclusive video and offering advice to young athletes.
Patch is no longer your pinch-hitter; now we're batting cleanup. Mark Teixeira, a two-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove Award winner currently playing first base for the New York Yankees, has been named "Commissioner of Baseball" at Patch. Teixeira, who just turned 32, will be a contributor on Patch sites around the country. He will be answering questions from readers, offering advice to young athletes, and posting exclusive videos. “I live in a Patch town now and I keep tabs on my original hometown via the Patch site there, so I’ve seen the ways that Patch supports its communities,” said Teixeira in the announcement from Patch. “I’m excited to be a part of that by connecting with Patch users who have the same passion for baseball …

Or any other news tips you might have. You can also load your own photos to Twinsburg Patch
Twinsburg Patch is committed to bringing you the latest news and events from Twinsburg. But being one man in a city of 18,000, this can be a challenging task! Sometimes it comes down to you, someone who knows this community like no other, to tell me what you want to see on our site. Did you see a car on fire in a parking lot on Ravenna Road? Take a picture and send it to me (like one of Solon Patch's user's did a few days ago). I'll look into it and give you the information you want to know. Is there a big, community event that you want to know about or hear more on? Send me an email at mitch.cooper@patch.com and let me know. Are you at a sporting event or community gathering and Patch isn't? Take some pictures and add them to the site or …

Twinsburg and Solon Patch will be at tonight's Twinsburg/Solon football game giving away food, prizes, and information about Patch
It's going to be a chilly and wet Friday night. So where better to be than one of the best high school football games of the season? If you thought the big-time, cross-town rivalry between Twinsburg and Solon was reason enough to head down to Twinsburg Tigers Stadium tonight, your friends at Patch have one more. Both Twinsburg Patch and Solon Patch will be out before the game for a Patch Tailgate Party, starting at 5:30 p.m. We will have a tent set up inside the stadium, providing free food (the event will benefit the Twinsburg Athletic Boosters, who will be manning the grills), handing out Patch swag and helping fans of both teams learn more about what Patch has to offer.
