The Twinsburg City Council picked its new leaders for the next year at Tuesday's meeting.
Twinsburg City Council picked their new council leadership on Tuesday. Ward 5 Councilman Seth Rodin was named as council president and Ward 4 Councilwoman Maureen Stauffer was picked as vice president. Rodin replaces as president Ward 3 Councilman Ted Yates and Stauffer takes over for Rodin, who was vice president in 2012. "It’s an honor and I look forward to a great year," Rodin said. Ward 3 Councilman Ted Yates was elected president and Ward 5 Councilman Seth Rodin is vice president
After a tough Ward 3 council race in November, not only did Ted Yates keep his seat, he was elected president of Twinsburg City Council. Yates was elected council president and Ward 5 Councilman Seth Rodin was elected to the vice president seat at Tuesday night's meeting. As his first order of business, new Council President Yates named the new list of committees that each member would serve on. He will look after the Finance Committee, Public Works Committee, Fitness Advisory Board, and Chamber of Commerce Committee. Rodin will be part of the Environmental Commission, Safety Committee, and Volunteer Fireman.
