WATCH: Twinsburg Bike Rodeo at Dodge

Children learn bike safety at the Twinsburg Bike Rodeo

The Children's Place of Twinsburg Public Library, the police department, and the Ohio Bicycle Federation hosted the Twinsburg Bike Rodeo Saturday at Dodge Intermediate School. Organizers gave young bike riders a few safety lessons before letting them race and pedal along the path to Idlewood park for hot dogs cooked by the police department.

Children to Learn Bike Safety, Race at Dodge

Twinsburg Public Library, police and Ohio Bicycle Federation will present the 2012 Twinsburg Bike Rodeo

Children looking for a combination of learning and racing can find it Saturday at Dodge Intermediate School. The Children's Place of Twinsburg Public Library, the police department, and the Ohio Bicycle Federation will host the Twinsburg Bike Rodeo from 10 a.m. to noon. in the school's parking lot. The youngsters will learn bike safety tips, take part in a snail race and navigate a slalom course. "Bike riding is the No. 2 outdoor activity, behind walking, in the United States year after year," said Bill Snow, a volunteer with the Ohio Bicycle Federation.
