Best Stop Cash Mob is Saturday

The Twinsburg convenience store is the cash mob spot for Nov. 17

The Best Stop Convenience Store is the site for Saturday's Twinsburg Cash Mob. The Ravenna Road store features a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables and specializes in in Indian and Asian foods. There is no specified time for the mob, but the store is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. "This is the kind of place we need to support: Small, family-owned and operated and probably 'off the radar' to most people," Michael Turle, cash mob creator, wrote on the group's Facebook page. Last month the crew did a month-long mob of Blue Jaye Farm.

Twinsburg Cash Mob Announces Next Hit

The next location will be...

Best Stop Market on Ravenna Road is the November hit for the Twinsburg Cash Mob, according to the group's Facebook page. Creator Michael Turle announced this week that the market is the target on Nov. 17. "It is a bright, clean, fresh store with lots of fresh fruit and produce, specializing in Indian and Asian foods," he wrote to the group. After talking with the owner, he said the business could use some help and is changing in order to suit its customers. "This is the kind of place we need to support: Small, family-owned and operated and probably 'off the radar' to most people," he wrote to the group. Blue Jaye Farm is Site for October Cash Mob

The month-long mob includes hayrides on the weekend.

With fall here in full force, what better place for the Twinsburg Cash Mob to choose than Blue Jaye Farms. Blue Jaye Farm is a locally owned farmer's market that has been in operation since 1966. Typically the cash mob will hit up a business on a certain day, but because of the limited season, creator Michael Turle thought it would be best to make it for the entire month. The farm offers pumpkins and hay rides in the fall as well as wreaths and Christmas cookies in the winter, since Christmas starts earlier every year. Blue Jaye Frarm is open Wednesdays through Sundays through Oct. 31st. They offer hayrides every weekend in October from noon to 5:30 p.m.  (weather permitting).

Michael's Cafe Tripled Business With Cash Mob

Owner Lee Ann Roth said Saturday's cash mob was a success.

Michael's Catering and Cafe had a huge day Saturday as the latest spot for the Twinsburg Cash Mob. Owner Lee Anne Roth said Saturdays are usually slow days, doing a quarter of the typical weekday business. But not last weekend. "We tripled our business for a normal Saturday," Roth said. Michael's recently started opening on Saturdays and even had to make some changes for the cash mob. Roth said they had to beef up staff for the day and even extend the hours to accomodate the new business. Cash Mob creator Michael Turle told her his planned hit a month before. "I said, 'It sounds great!'" Roth said. Most of the business came early, with a steady pace most of the day. Roth said a majority of people were new customers.  People that couldn't …

Twinsburg Cash Mob Announces Next Hit

And the next location is...

Michael's Sadwiches & Cafe has been announced as the next target for the Twinsburg Cash Mob. Group creator Michael Turle announced the 10071 Darrow Road restaurant on the group's Facebook page several days ago. The mob is planned for Saturday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The idea behind the cash mob is to gather community members together and to spend money at locally owned businesses. The first target was Richner Hardware in July and then Rosati's Frozen Custard in August.  Michael's was one of the choices voted on in the Twinsburg Patch cash mob poll last week. You can suggest the next target by checking out the group's Facebook page here.
