In addition to wind, the area is likely to receive snow today and Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of the region -- including Summit County. Meteorologists are warning that southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts reaching up to 41 mph will rattle the region today. The strongs winds are being caused by an arctic front that has moved into the area. The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. today. Furthermore, the wind is expected to be joined by precipitation. Meteorologists predict that rain showers will turn into snow by the mid-morning today. The snow will persist through Wednesday with between one and three inches falling by Wednesday night. Meteorologists warn that gusts could reach up to 50 mph
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the area from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today. Meteorologists predict that winds will blow between 20 and 30 mph with gusts reaching as fast as 50 mph. The winds are expected to be the worst in the afternoon with speeds diminishing in the evening. The winds will be strongest along the Lake Erie shore line. Snow is expected to fall too, but less than a half an inch of accumulation is possible in Twinsburg. These winds will be paired with snow in parts of the region. Ashtabula and Trumbull Counties have issued a winter storm warning. Lake County is expected to receive two to four inches of snow.
