Police Find Traces of Heroin During Traffic Stop: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Twinsburg police stopped a car on Darrow Road at Walgreens on Thanksgiving Day for a lane violation.  During the stop the driver of the car was arrested for driving under suspension and the passenger was arrested on a warrant. Officers conducted a K9 sniff of the car which uncovered a compact mirror and metal rod with heroin residue and suphedrine medications, according to police.  The passenger was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Drinking leads to a dispute Officers were called to Dooridge Drive on Nov. 20 for a report of a domestic dispute. Police Make Drunken Driving, Drug Arrests: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department.

On Nov. 7 police stopped a car for speeding on State Route 82.  During the stop the driver was arrested for drug abuse and driving under suspension. He was released on $500 bail. The passenger was also cited for drug abuse and released. On Nov. 8 police were told that a driver was swerving all around the road. Officers found the car near Ravenna and Cannon Roads, eventually stopping it near Church Street. The woman, from Illinois, had a strong smell of alcohol on her breath while talking to police, according to the report. She failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested for drunken driving and open container. She was released on $500 bond.
