Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi: Rabbi Dan Roberts On Best Of Bulletin Bloopers

Roberts participated in the Maltz Museum's competition to find Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi

The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage held its second ever Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi contest last week. Dr. Kiva Shtull of Shir Shalom in Chagrin Falls won the prized Gold Chicken with his wealth of moyel and Geauga County jokes. But while he may have been the funniest rabbi, he certainly wasn't the only funny rabbi who performed for the crowd Wednesday. Rabbi Dan Roberts of Temple Emanu El -- the defending champion -- did his best to defend his title, breaking out the props for some of his bulletin's funniest typos and recounting a hysterical story about the time he had to perform a wedding in midair. The other competing rabbis were Rabbi Shmuel Friedman from Chabad, Rabbi Ephraim Karp from Menorah Park and Rabbi Lauren Werber of Temple B'…

Funniest Rabbi Contest: Rabbi Lauren Werber On Jewish Dining Etiquette

Werber participated in the Maltz Museum's competition to find Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi

The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage held its second ever Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi contest earlier this week. Dr. Kiva Shtull of Shir Shalom in Chagrin Falls won the prized Gold Chicken with his wealth of moyel and Geauga County jokes. But while he may have been the funniest rabbi, he certainly wasn't the only funny rabbi who performed for the crowd Wednesday. Rabbi Lauren Werber of Temple B'nai Abraham joked about the differences between dining with her friends and family and her Southern Baptist in-laws. (According to Werber, one group allows for pauses in the conversation.) Watch this video to see how she and members of her synagogue even made an order for 15 waters complicated. Funniest Rabbi Contest: Rabbi Shmuel Friedman Cracks Wise at The Maltz Museum

Friedman competed in the Maltz Museum's competition to find Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi

The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage held its second ever Cleveland's Funniest Rabbi contest earlier this week. Dr. Kiva Shtull of Shir Shalom in Chagrin Falls won the prized Gold Chicken with his wealth of moyel and Geauga County jokes. But while he may have been the funniest rabbi, he certainly wasn't the only funny rabbi who performed for the crowd Wednesday. Rabbi Shmuel Friedman from Chabad cracked up the crowd with his stories of converting rabbis and jokes about his "casual Amish" wardrobe. The other competing rabbis were Rabbi Ephraim Karp from Menorah Park, defending champion Rabbi Dan Roberts from Temple Emanu El and Rabbi Lauren Werber.
