Teen Charged After Making Threats At Alternative School

Editor's Note: This story is corrected from an original version. The incident happened at Twinsburg's alternative school, not Twinsburg High School. A 16-year-old Twinsburg student was charged with inducing panic after police say she made threats at Twinsburg's alternative school on Dec. 18, according to a police report. According to the police, the teen reportedly said over the phone she was going to "murder everyone up in here" while in a classroom at the alternative school, located at a separate building from the high school. The teen then left the school, according to police. Officers caught up with her at her mother's home later that day and asked the teen to come to the police station the next day to meet with officers and school …

University police release booking photo of William Koberna

Kent State University police this morning released the booking photo of the 19-year-old sophomore charged with threatening to open fire on campus. William Koberna, of Brunswick, will be arraigned this afternoon by Portage County Municipal Court Judge Barb Oswick on charges of inducing panic, a fifth-degree felony, and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. Koberna is being held in the Portage County jail until his arraignment. He was arrested Sunday at his home in Brunswick after posting a tweet on his Twitter account in which he threatened to use a fire arm on campus.
