Lake Effect Snow Warning Tonight: As Much as 12 inches Expected by Tuesday
A major wintery front is expected to bring lake effect snow to the Northeast Ohio early Monday and into Tuesday.
A wintery front could bring as much as six to 12 inches of snow and heavy wind gusts to Northeast Ohio from early Monday into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. A lake-effect snow warning is in effect starting 4 a.m. Monday throgh 4 p.m. Tuesday. As much as three to five inches is expected to fall Monday with up to a foot of snow expected by Tuesday. Winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour are expected Monday, with gusts of up to 45 miles per hour closer to the lake. According to the weather service, temperatures are expected to fall into the 20s tonight as a low-pressure system, stretching from Great Lakes into Canada, moves into Ohio.
