Tallmadge Man Drives Drunk, Wrong Way: The Blotter

It doesn't matter if you drive the wrong way to avoid an accident. If you're drunk, you get busted. On Sept. 15 police saw several cars driving the wrong way on the I-480 east entrance ramp at State Route 91. They were trying to avoid slow-moving traffic caused by an accident, but during one of the stops, police smelled alcohol on the driver's breath. The man, of Tallmadge, failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested for drunken driving. After blowing a .199 (.119 over the legal limit) on the breathalyzer, he was charged with drunken driving, blood-alcohol level and driving the wrong way.
