'The Cause' Raises $1,300 for Charity

Saturday's event raised more than $1,000 this year to support Aluminum Cans for Burned Children

Saturday's "The Cause" event at the Twinsburg Public Library brought in $1,300 to support a local charity, according to the library. Marketing Director Beth Hatch said the event raised the money with the help of 250 people in attendance to donate to Aluminum Cans for Burned Children. WATCH our coverage from "The Cause" "The Cause" gives local teens an opportunity to showcase their talents -- from singing, dancing and acting -- while raising money and awareness for ACBC. In it's 13th year, Hatch said there were 26 performances from teens seventh grade and above. The Twinsburg Public Library hosted "The Cause" on Saturday, an event that gives local teens a chance to showcase their talents. But not only is the cause a fun night of music, skits, and dancing, it's all part of a fundraiser for Aluminum Cans for Burned Children. The money is donated to help children attend a special summer camp.

Library Gearing Up For 'The Cause'

Annual "Coffee for a Cause" event raises money to help burned children

The Twinsburg Public Library is preparing for the 13th annual "Coffee for a Cause" to raise money for Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC) on Saturday, April 21, 6:45 p.m.  For this event, local teens perform music, poetry, and comedic skits in a coffee house-type setting, while patrons sip mochas and cappuccinos and dine on home-baked pastries. The money raised at the event benefits ACBC, an organization that improves the quality of life for young burn survivors and their families by providing funding for research, annual therapeutic residential burn camps, and other year-round activities that support their physical, psychological and social needs.  In the past, students raised more than $10,000 for the charity.
