The murder trial against Glenn Wong to be continued until the defendant receives an evaluation into "his mental condition at the time of the alleged offense," according to court records
Glenn Wong will receive a psychological evaluation to determine his mental condition, according to Summit County Court of Common Pleas. Wong, who faces murder charges in the stabbing death of his wife Tami Wong, appeared in court last week. His attorney, Brian M. Pierce, requested the insanity evaluation be conducted before the court proceedings continue. Wong is expected back in court near the end of May. He remains in Summit County Jail. Wong was indicted in March by the grand jury on two counts of aggravated murder, one count of murder, one count of kidnapping, one count of felonious assault and one count of domestic violence, according to court records. A fund has been set up at First Merit Bank to benefit the children of the late Tami Wong. Anyone can donate to the fund to support the Wong children by going to any First Merit Bank and contribute to the "Wong Family Benefit Fund." The money will be used to support the children's immediate needs, according to the Twinsburg Bulletin. Tami Wong was stabbed to death Feb. 24. Her husband, Glenn Wong, has been charged with murder. The couple's two children, a 10-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son, are living with relatives since their lives were upended nearly two months ago. Glenn Wong's case will continue on April 26, when he is scheduled to be arraigned in Summit County Court of Common Pleas.

About 35 women came to Twinsburg Karate Institute to learn self defense techniques and donate money to help the two children of the late Tami Wong.
A number of genererous women donated more than $600 to help the children of the late Tami Wong during a self-defense fundraiser at the Twinsburg Karate Institute on Wednesday. Sensei Reggie Brown, the owner of the institute, said that about 35 women attended and donated about $635. Thank you to all of those who attended the Women's Self- Defense Class," Brown said on Facebook. "I would like to thank all of you for you generosity!" Tami Wong died in a domestic incident in February. Her husband, Glenn Wong, has been charged with aggravated murder. His case is pending before a Summit County grand jury. A local karate studio will hold a fundraiser March 20 to raise money for the childen of Tami Wong. Wong died in a domestic incident in February. Her husband, Glenn Wong, has been charged with aggravated murder. The couple had two children, a 10-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. Twinsburg Karate Institute, located at 9224 Darrow Road, is holding a fundraiser for the children during its women self-defense class on March 20 from 7:15 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. If you plan to attend the class and donate, please RSVP to the karate studio by calling 330-963-3069. Twinsburg Superintendent Kathryn Powers says that the children of Glenn and Tami Wong are surrounded by the love of family members and support from their community.
The two children of Glenn and Tami Wong are "doing the best they can" considering the death of their mother and arrest of their father on Feb. 24. Twinsburg Schools Superintendent Kathryn Powers said that many family members have inquired about the children, a 10-year-old girl who is a fourth grader at Dodge Intermediary School and a 8-year-old boy who is in second grade at Bissell Elementary School. Powers said that the children, who are living with an aunt, are coping. "The children are doing the best they can under the circumstances and are surrounded by the love of their family members," she said.
