ReplyHi Steve....thanks for your question. The water main is the pipe that broke, however, due to its proximity to the sewer line, the water district takes precautions just in case there was a sewer rupture as well. Both pipes are 6-inches under ground. MPWD and the county health dept. are taking precautions to ensure there is no cross-contamination of the domestic water supply.

Hi Cathy.....to be clear, the Sequoia Union High School District and the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District are two completely separate agencies serving high schools and elementary schools respectively. One's boundary setting has nothing to do with the other.
