Twinsburg May See Three New Faces on the School Board in November

Four people have expressed interest in running for Twinsburg school board. Only one has officially filed.

It seems likely that there may be three new members on the Twinsburg Board of Education after the Nov. 5 election.

Of the four people who have pulled petitions for the three board of education seats up for grabs, only one person has filed and none of them are on the current school board, according to the Summit County Board of Elections.

Matt Cellura, Tina Davis, Kathleen Turle-Waldron and Dean Martin have all pulled petitions for school board. Only Davis has officially filed as of Monday afternoon.

Editor's Note: Originally I reported that Maureen Stauffer, Ward 4 city council representative, had also pulled petitions for school board. Stauffer confirmed over the phone Thursday morning that she only picked up the paper work for someone else and is only running for city council.

The filing deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 4 p.m.

Both current board members David Andrews and Paul Crosby confirmed via email on Tuesday they will not be running for re-election.

Board Member Stephen Shebeck has pulled petitions for Twinsburg's Ward 5 city council spot which is also on the November ballot.
