Twinsburg's Zoltan Mesko Signed by Pittsburgh Steelers

The 2005 Twinsburgh High School grad was let go by the New England Patriots.

Sorry Browns fans, former Twinsburg standout Zoltan Mesko is now a Pittsburgh Steeler.

Mesko was signed by the Steelers on Sept. 2 to be the punter this season, the team announced.

He was released by the New England Patriots last week after spending three seasons and making a Super Bowl appearance.

Mesko, a former Michigan Wolverine, averaged 44.2 yards per punt. They released second-year punter Drew Butler to make room for him on their roster, according to the team's website.

He graduated from Twinsburg in 2005 and is remembered as one of the best punters in the area.

Mesko was originally born in Romania and moved to Twinsburg as a child.
